The Area
New Lebanon is nestled on the edge of the Hudson River Valley between the Catskills and the Berkshires. There is plenty to do and see all within a short drive of Ferndale.

The best local food. Really great breakfast, and weekend dinner service. Open 8am-4pm.
Marios, New Lebanon, NY

The closest ‘nice’ and ‘Italian’ restaurant. Weird experience, not that bad of food. Kind of a date night spot.

The local bar, but also amazing food. Screens for sports. Often have local bands or comedy shows. Try the wings. Always a local Chatham beer on tap.

Hands down favorite spot for coffee and brunch. Makes a great quiche.

Mark Firth’s upstate outpost. Basically an upstate Diner.
Art
Art Omi Sculpture Fields

World-class museum, worth the trip.
The Clark

Incredible Museum, decently close.
Outdoor Activities
There is so much to do in the area, but here are a few of our favorites.
Jiminy Peak, Hancock, MA
15 minutes
Just across the border, a great ski slope only 15 minutes away.
Hancock Shaker Village, Hancock, MA
10 minutes
A beautifully restored Shaker village with self guided walking tours. The staff are knowledgable, friendly, and enjoyable. There are always demonstrations and workshops going on. A wonderful way to spend a Summer afternoon.
Hand Hollow Conservation Area, New Lebanon, NY
5 minutes
The 433-acre Hand Hollow Conservation Area just down the road in New Lebanon features woodlands, meadows, a lake, two ponds, streams, and wetlands. This variety of habitats makes it a prime location for spotting beavers, otters, black bear, bobcat, and wild turkey as you meander the 2.8 miles of trails or enjoy prime fishing access.
